Yes!!! We are a Web2.0 company

What exactly is Web2.0?
One of our client from UK wanted his website to be Web2.0 compliant. We knew some companies who are Web 2.0. Flickr, Youtube, Digg and many more. What are these companies doing to keep them Web2.0 compliant? Here is what we found:

  • Rounded corner
  • Ease of navigation
  • User centered approach.
  • Yellow Colors (Pastel colors basically)
  • XHTML1.0 compliant markup
  • Not tables in design.
  • Tag clouds
  • REALLY BIG INPUT BOXES

  • BIGGER FONTS

  • RSS2.0/RSS/XML/RDF and blah blah feeds
  • BLOG
  • Link to Digg, del.icio.us, technocrati and other sites
  • Search engine friendly URLs
  • AJAX
  • and not to forget the Alpha/Beta/Gamma badge. Which never says that project is finished.

So after developing a simple site with XHTML1.0 compliant code and table less layout using CSS and ONLY DIVs we stamped the site with Web2.0. And we realised we were doing this from the start. Then why not call ourself a Web2.0 company? So here is what makes our site Web2.0 enabled

  • XHTML1.0 compliant markup
  • Pastel colors
  • Div based layout
  • We Use CSS
  • We have our own CMS
  • BIG FONTS.
  • Big input boxes or text boxes.
  • Search engine friendly URLs

And our Web 2.0 enabled badge telling you that our website is in Alpha stage. But why Alpha stage? We believe a software evolves. It can not be manufactured. We keep adding features to our website and keep updating. Hence we never see our site complete. So the alpha badge. ;-)
